Nearly 145 Golfers to Tee Off at the Prestigious International Golf Tournament in Da Nang City

The BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang is poised to become a flagship tourism offering in central Vietnam’s largest city, attracting high-end visitors from across the globe.

At a press conference on Wednesday, Nguyen Trong Thao, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports, emphasized the tournament’s significance as a prominent sporting event in the region. He highlighted its role in solidifying Da Nang’s status as a premier host of international events and festivals in Asia.

“Besides boosting Da Nang’s high-quality tourism, with a leisure tourism focus, the tournament will showcase the city’s allure to both domestic and international travelers,” Thao added.

Alongside Vietnamese representatives, renowned international golfers will participate, including Rahil Ganjee from India and Ahmad Baig from Pakistan, ensuring a competitive and diverse field.

The tournament will consist of three rounds played on an 18-hole course, with the top 50 golfers advancing after 36 holes. The ultimate winner will be determined by the lowest gross score, making it a test of consistency and skill.

The BRG Open Golf Championship Da Nang, part of the Asian Development Tour under the Asian Tour, has become a staple in Vietnam’s sporting calendar over the last three years, with a total prize pool of US$100,000 up for grabs in this third edition.
