The Hanoi Liberation Day celebrations include a book fair, a wonderful initiative to promote reading and encourage a love of books. This year’s event marks two significant anniversaries: 70 years since the capital’s liberation on October 10, 1954, and 35 years since UNESCO designated Hanoi as a “City for Peace.” With an expected 200 to 250 booths, the fair will host domestic and international publishers, diplomatic organizations, and regional and international publishing associations.
