Hanoi-Kuala Lumpur Direct Flight Opens Opportunities to Promote People-to-people Ties
Malaysia has invested in Vietnam since the 1970s and is now the second largest investor in ASEAN to Vietnam. Impressed by Vietnam’s economic development in recent years, Malaysian investors and businesses are interested in the Vietnamese market. The Malaysian Ambassador hopes to promote cooperation between the private sector of the two countries, which is an important component of the two countries’ people-to-people relations.
Regarding tourism, Malaysia is among the 10 largest Asian tourist markets of Vietnam. With the resumption of direct flights between Hanoi and Kuala Lumpur from February 2023, Ambassador Tan Yang Thai believes that many opportunities will open up for exchanges between the two countries.
