The Vietnam Fine Arts Museum is currently hosting an exhibition of 55 paintings depicting President Ho Chi Minh, created by Vietnamese artist Dao Trong Ly, based in Nakhon Phanom, Thailand. The exhibition is a collaboration between the museum and the Association of Thai People of Vietnamese Origin in Nakhon Phanom, and it commemorates the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth.

Each painting tells a story of President Ho Chi Minh’s life, from his departure to seek freedom for his country to the glorious milestones he achieved during the revolution. Dao Trong Ly, born in 1951, hails from a patriotic overseas Vietnamese family in Nakhon Phanom, Thailand. He currently works at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site in his province, dedicating his talents to preserving the legacy of this beloved leader.
At the conclusion of the exhibition, Ly plans to present his artworks to the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, ensuring that his tribute to President Ho Chi Minh will endure for years to come.
The exhibition will remain open until May 22, 2024, at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in Hanoi, offering visitors a unique opportunity to appreciate the life and achievements of President Ho Chi Minh through the eyes of a talented overseas Vietnamese artist.
